Location

Specifying the location in a top-down manner, SCEE 2008 will be organized in:

• Finland
  (a nice country to visit)
• Espoo
  (a city next to Helsinki)
• Otaniemi
  (a district in Espoo; 10 km from the city center of Helsinki)
• Helsinki University of Technology (TKK)
  (despite the name, not physically located in Helsinki)
• TKK main building
  (see building no. 1 on the map of Otaniemi; street address: Otakaari 1)
• Lecture hall E
  (see "E" in the upper figure; "1. kerros" = 1st floor)

Other Information

The TKK campus, with its lawns and buildings designed by famous Finnish architects like Alvar Aalto, is located in a bay area. The Radisson SAS Hotel Espoo is located on the sea coast. The "garden city", Tapiola, is just 2 km from the campus: within walking distance. Also, the beautiful and historically interesting city center of Helsinki is only 15-20 minutes away by bus.
